I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. I completed my Ph.D. in 2010, then took up an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Chicago in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with Professor Benoît Roux. During my postdoctoral fellowship, I studied ion channel conduction and methods for modeling ion-protein interactions. I joined the Department of Chemistry at Memorial as an Assistant Professor in January, 2012. Please see my CV (pdf) for the full details of my professional work.

Phúc began his M.Sc. in 2019. He completed his B.Sc. at Vietnam National University. He is developing machine learning methods to map between coarse-grain and all-atom representations.

Shae-Lynn began her M.Sc. in September 2019. She is using neutral network models to study the binding of drugs to proteins.

Nazanin began her M.Sc. in September 2019. She completed her B.Sc. at  Sharif University of Technology in Iran.

Ernest completed his B.Sc. (Hons) in chemistry at Mount Allison University. He completed an Honours thesis with Professor Khashayar Ghandi. He is developing methods to model the reactivity of cysteine residues with covalent-modifier drugs.
